Zeltkeder 2200 dtex zweifahnig weiss D=8,5 mm Keder Vorzeltkeder

Tent Keder, double tongue, Panama fabric, White, 2200 dtex.

Keder is a manufactured rope edge, made from a flexible core surrounded by fabric. The keder fabric is coated on the inside only. This makes the keder weldable to regular PVC coated fabrics. The outside of the keder fabric is uncoated, with the polyester fibers exposed. The exposed fibers allow keder to slide better in aluminum keder extrusions compared to how coated fabrics would slide.

Typical keder applications include clearspan rental tents, permanent frame-supported fabric structures, camping tents, RV shade panels, banners, industrial curtains, greenhouses and many other.

The main advantage of keder for use in fabric structures is the continuous connection it allows between a piece of fabric and frame. This allows for a faster install, a safer install and a better load distribution compared with other methods.

2200 Dtex (2,000 Denier) threads compared to 1100 Dtex for most keders. Thicker threads means less wear, higher strength and better sliding.

RF welded. Radiofrequency (or HF High Frequency) welded keder has better accuracy and straightness. The accuracy and consistency of the distance between the core and the edge of the fabric is important to create tighter clearspan panels that move less in the wind. Better straightness improves the efficiency in the fabrication shop.

Plain weave: the use of the thicker threads allows the use of plain weave, which results in a tighter weave. Many people find the plain weave less susceptible to fraying compared to the panama weave which is commonly used to create higher strengths and thread counts with 1100 Dtex keder.
